Photoshop is one of the best photo editing software in the World by Adobe. It has plenty of features which you can use to make your photos more attractive and remember-able.
Now we are talking a very useful feature of Photoshop which everyone has to use to resize bulk images at once.
Here is step by step tutorial with screenshots which will help you in better understanding how to use this feature.
Open an image click File->Open (Ctrl+O).
After opening an image we have to record everything to use this feature (automatically resize bulk images). Click on Windows->Action and then action box will be opened.
Now click on the folder icon from the 3rd left to create a “Set“.
Give the Set name and once all done you see a set is created in action window.
Now click on 2nd last open to create action.
Once you click one popup will open in which you have to insert action name and select the set for which you want to create action and then click “Record” and everything will be recorded with the name of a action in set.
In step-1 we have opened an image which we have to resize and record in the action. Now we are ready to record resize action.
Now click on Images->Image Resize (Top Navigation Menu) and then image resize popup will open (Shortcut to open Image Resize: Alt + I + I).
Now change the width and height in constrain proportions or fixed (if you want to use fixed width and height then you have to uncheck constrain proportions) as per your requirement and then click “OK“. In our case we are using width 800 pixels in constrain proportions.
After clicking OK, image will be resized and recorded in action.
And close the image by pressing “Ctrl+W” and record it too after that stop recording.
Now, how to use a recording to resize bulk images.
a) create a folder (images or whatever you like) and paste all your images which you want to resize and create one more folder (resize or whatever you like) in which you have to save all your resized images.
b) Click on File->Automate->Batch.
c) Now choose the “Set” (image-resize) and “Action” (image-resize) and select the source folder (images) where all images are stored and then select destination folder (resize) where we have to save resized images and then press “OK”
